For the love of flavonoids!

Who doesn’t love freshly picked local blueberries? And who doesn’t love the fact that they are not only delicious but they provide your body with antioxidants?

Tasty and beneficial? ….I’ll take 2 baskets please!

Flavonoids are a type of antioxidant found in blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, green tea, red grapes, and much more. Flavonoids may lower your risk of developing disease as they protect your body’s cells from damage (free radicals) and they also aid in heart health.

Blueberries get their colour from a phytochemical known as anthocyanin. Anthocyanin is a component that gives blueberries their extremely beneficial antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
